Woodpecker Cider is an alcoholic drink originally made in 1894 by Percy Bulmer in Herefordshire, today it is still brewed by Bulmers.  Woodpecker is noted for having a lower percentage of alcohol than most other ciders, as well as its sweet taste. It is usually available in pubs and bars and is found in most supermarkets. As well as draught, Woodpecker Cider comes in green bottles and cans.  The brand appears to be in a state of managed decline, with sales having plummeted by almost one third since 2001.
