J's Oyster Bar on the water in the Old Port serves beer, and oysters, who'd a thunk. Well they serve Chesapeake Bay oysters to be accurate. While we're used to seeing the local names of oyster like Winter Point Oysters, or Pemaquid, those are not what you will get here. They do offer a very authentic oyster bar experience and they do pour plenty of local brews for you to chase the bivalves down. Prices are good, and they offer outside seating. However, to be aware they are hidden from sight directly from Commercial st. So don't be afraid to wander down some side streets heading towards the water.
