Bull Feeney's
Well before John Ford directed John Wayne in the Western classic "The Searchers" he was a Portland High School Football standout known as John "Bull" Feeney. Nowadays Bull Feeney's is the prominent Irish bar in the Old Port and operates in the location of the Irish grocery and backroom saloon owned by "Bull's" father. Most weekends will find "Bulls" near capacity where you are sure to find a few familiar faces. If you are not an Old Port veteran you will be surprised to find that most Taps at Bull Feeney's pour 18oz or 20oz. This is because the 16oz glass was merely designed to shake mixed drinks. The standard pour in Ireland is 20oz.
